How Dance Builds Confidence in Kids
I have heard so many of our teachers talk about how there's nothing more rewarding than watching a shy child blossom into a confident performer. I've seen it happen countless times—kids start out hiding in the back of the class, barely moving, convinced they can't do it. But before long they realize that dance isn't about being perfect—it's about expressing yourself and having fun.
Every small victory builds on the last one. First, they master a simple step sequence, then they volunteer to demonstrate for the class, and before long, they're performing in recitals and carrying themselves with confidence that shows in everything they do. The skills they learn go far beyond the studio walls—teachers tell us our dance kids are confident speakers and natural leaders who approach challenges with an "I can do this" attitude.
