Ballroom

What is Ballroom dancing?

Ballroom dance began in 16th-century European aristocracy as formal social dances. It evolved through the Baroque era, absorbed Latin American styles, and created dances like the cha cha cha, waltz, and rumba. By the 20th century, it became both a competitive and social dance, blending grace with complex footwork. Today, it is a worldwide art form cherished for its elegance and community spirit.

In our classes we go over 4 international latin dances, changing every 2 weeks - cha cha cha, samba, rumba, jive. Paso doble is taught only in Advanced Classes.
